Did you attend the Realm Makers 2015 conference this year? If so, we’re looking for feedback!
We’ve created a 12-question survey so you can tell us what made this year fabulous and what areas we can improve on. Because we’re so awesome, if you do fill out the survey, you will be entered in a drawing to win an Authors Assemble OR Realm Makers t-shirt. Survey must be filled out before August 21, 2015 to be eligible.
Let your voice be heard! Your feedback is important to us and will help us to create an even more fantastic conference next year. We want Realm Makers to be like walking into a home away from home where you can learn, socialize, and grow as a writer. Help us make this experience the best it can be!

I completed the survey! But, no need to throw me into the drawing. I have both shirts. That way they’ll be a better chance of someone winning who doesn’t have them. 🙂

Comment!
The survey has been completed! It was a phenomenal experience that I look forward to repeating.
Finished the survey. It did give me a hard time about Friday questions! I was only there for one day, but it wouldn’t let me pass on to the next question without checking SOMEthing! *smile* RM was fabulous this year — what little I was able to be there for. I surely HOPE to be able to attend again next year.
Done! But I expected to be able to write my name down somewhere, so I’m the one who offered to teach a workshop on writing spec picture books. 🙂

I did the survey!
Hi Rebecca! I missed the survey but needed to add thanks and cudos for organizing and running a great conference. This was my first writing conference of any kind and I thought it fun, practical and very personal–great as a start for relationship building with so many like-minded writers.
Since I missed the survey, I’d like to throw one suggestion out. Splickety did a great job on their part of the conference. The Saturday morning paid reviews would have benefited from another hour–even if it meant getting up earlier. I believe everyone who submitted a piece for paid review considered that part of the weekend extremely important (since it related to their writing :). But it was sooo rushed. I think Kristen Stieffel would sing Allelujah for an extra hour.
Also, and I have relayed this to Kristen, getting the submissions from the other authors at our table emailed and relayed to us a few days before the conference would give us the opportunity to do a fair job of reviewing them and giving feedback at the conference. It was nigh impossible to speed read and listen to the reviewing editor and formulate comments all in 10 minutes. We all value the comments of our colleagues. I was so impressed with the skill and quality I saw in the folks at my table. I’d like to have had more in-depth cross commentary.
That’s it on the suggestion side.
I can tell you, never thought I’d do a Zombie Nerf War (I am a respectable 53 years old), but that was 20 tonnes of fun!
BTW, Robert Liparulo went the extra mile on all fronts–personal, professional and willing to sleep next life.
See you next year!
Tom
