November was a crazy month with NaNoWriMo and Thanksgiving and all that fun stuff. Still, with your help, we managed to pull off the naming of Realm Maker’s very own Book of the Year Award.
For the first time, at the 2016 conference, we’ll be awarding . . .
The Realm Award!
Thank you to all who submitted suggestions and to all who voted. We appreciate you more than you know!
This award will be an award chosen from among submissions by a panel of judges. More information on the awards, the categories, processes, etc. will be forthcoming later this month. I will say that submissions will open on January 1, 2016!
By the way, second place was a tie between The Beacon Award and The Alliance Award. Maybe we’ll use those for something else one day.
In related news, since The Realm Award is the new name, that means the submitter of that name wins the prize of their choice of Early Bird options at the 2016 conference as well as one of the black Realm Makers T-shirts. And the winner is . . .
J.L. Mbewe!
Congrats, girl! E-mail Becky with your details.
In the meantime, y’all best get back to writing. Don’t make me break out the whip!
Reblogged this on Guts on the Page.
Yea!! 🙂
Congrats, and good job!
Thanks!
That’s great! Congrats, Jenette!
I’m not writing right now – I usually take December off to sew and bake. Although this week, I’m judging a national homeschool short story contest for 7th & 8th graders. I did that last year for the first time and enjoyed it. They invited me back this year. 🙂
Thanks!
What am I working on? Mysterion, of course. We’re deep into the reading period for the anthology, and with over 300 submissions, we’re putting in quite a bit of time getting through them.
That said, we’re open to submissions until December 25th, if anyone wants to send us a speculative fiction story which engages with Christianity. See our website at http://www.mysterionanthology.com for details.
